Short answer: QuickInspect's app interface is available in nine languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish and Romanian), its AI features respond in the user's language, and QuickInspect supports 30+ languages for worker instruction, with additional languages added on request. That lets each worker be instructed in a language they actually understand while the safety team keeps working in theirs.
Why the language of instruction matters
Instruction that is not understood is not instruction. German law is explicit: the Occupational Safety Act (ArbSchG §12) requires instruction that is adequate and appropriate, and the Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV §14) requires operating instructions and instruction in a form and language the workers understand. The EU Framework Directive 89/391/EEC and ISO 45001 clause 7.3 (awareness) point the same way. On sites with mixed-language crews, instruction only in the site language leaves exactly the people most exposed without the information they need.

A practical multilingual instruction workflow
- Set each worker's app language during onboarding. Tasks, trainings and the incident report form then appear in that language.
- Create the training once in the safety team's language, or start from one of the 30+ ready-made safety trainings. AI can draft a complete module (slides, quiz, narration and assessment) from your operating instruction or another PDF.
- Provide it in the crew's languages. Check the critical terms (substance names, PPE, emergency numbers) before you assign it. If a crew needs a language beyond the nine interface languages, ask us.
- Let workers complete the module on their phone, with narration for those who prefer listening.
- Record completion with score, date and a certificate with an expiry date; the record stays readable for the auditor.
- Let everyone report. Workers use the incident report form in their own interface language, from the app or via the QR code posted in the workplace.
Limits and good practice
- Keep the source document as the master and update the language versions after every change, so versions stay consistent.
- Have someone who knows the site review site-specific terms, and keep a human review for legally binding documents.
- Pictograms, photos and short demonstrations cross language barriers; use them in every module.
