AI Generation
AI features in QuickInspect and YachtInspect are powered by Firebase Vertex AI using the Gemini model. AI assists with image analysis, findings analysis, and document analysis directly within the Report Designer.

AI Chat Panel
The Report Designer includes a built-in AI Chat Panel for interacting with AI. The chat panel supports:
- Text input: type questions or instructions
- Speech-to-text input: dictate messages using your device microphone
The AI Chat Panel is context-aware -- it has access to the current report's images, findings data, and document content.
AI Capabilities
Image Analysis
AI analyzes photos attached to the report and can:
- Identify objects, conditions, and details visible in images
- Suggest layout changes and image placements within the report
- Provide descriptions of what is shown in each image
Use image analysis to get AI recommendations on how to arrange and present photos in your report.
Findings Analysis
AI analyzes the findings data (exported as JSON) and can:
- Suggest which table columns to display (e.g., show cost column if cost data is present)
- Recommend table configurations based on the data
- Suggest filters (by status, priority, date, system, or title) to focus the findings table
This is useful when you have a large number of findings and want AI to help you decide how to present them.
PDF Document Analysis
AI can analyze attached PDF documents and provide summaries or answer questions about their content.
Company AI Instructions
Admins can configure company-specific AI instructions that provide custom context for all AI interactions within the company. This ensures AI responses are tailored to your organization's terminology, standards, and workflows.
Tip
Use company AI instructions to tell the AI about your industry-specific terminology, preferred report formats, or regulatory frameworks your company follows.
Usage Limits
AI usage is metered with a token-based system. Limits are configured per company and can be adjusted by your Admin:
- Per-user daily limit -- resets daily. Admin users are exempt.
- Per-company monthly limit -- resets monthly.
The system alerts users as they approach their limits. When enforcement is enabled and the limit is reached, AI features become unavailable until the limit resets.

Contact your Admin to view or adjust AI usage limits for your company.
Language Support
The AI is language-aware and responds in German or English based on the app's current locale setting. If your app is set to German, AI responses will be in German, and vice versa.
