General
What platforms are supported?
QuickInspect and YachtInspect are available as mobile apps on:
- iOS -- QuickInspect on the App Store | YachtInspect on the App Store
- Android -- QuickInspect on Google Play | YachtInspect on Google Play
What is the difference between QuickInspect and YachtInspect?
Both apps share the same core platform and features (Report Designer, templates, PDF export, AI tools, team collaboration). The difference is the industry focus:
- QuickInspect is designed for HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) inspections -- workplace safety audits, risk assessments, incident documentation, and compliance checks
- YachtInspect is designed for marine surveys -- vessel condition reports, pre-purchase surveys, equipment inspections, and sea trial documentation
The apps have different domain-specific templates and terminology, but the underlying functionality is identical.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes. The app uses SQLite for local data storage, providing full offline capability. You can create and edit findings, inspections, and reports without an internet connection.
When you regain connectivity, all offline changes sync automatically.
Note
AI features (Chat Panel, image analysis, speech-to-text, PDF analysis) require an active internet connection and are not available offline.
What languages are supported?
The app supports English and German. You can switch languages from the Profile tab:
- Go to the Profile tab
- Tap Language
- Select English or German
The app interface, templates, and AI responses will use your selected language.
How do I enable dark mode?
- Go to the Profile tab
- Toggle Dark Mode on or off
Subscriptions and Seats
What are the subscription tiers?

How many users can my company have?
Company accounts have configurable seat limits:
- maxStandardSeats -- controls how many Standard users you can have
- maxKeyUserSeats -- controls how many Key User users you can have
Contact your Admin to view or adjust seat limits. Admins manage seats from the company settings in the Profile tab.
Tip
Free-tier users do not count toward seat limits. You can add viewers and stakeholders at no additional cost.
AI Features
What AI model is used?
The app uses Vertex AI / Gemini (Google) for all AI features, including:
- Chat Panel -- conversational AI assistant
- Speech-to-text -- voice input for findings and reports
- Image analysis -- AI-powered photo analysis
- Findings analysis -- AI insights on inspection findings
- PDF analysis -- AI processing of uploaded documents
Can my company customize AI behavior?
Yes. Company accounts can set company AI instructions that guide how AI features respond for your organization. AI usage is subject to limits based on your subscription tier.
Reports and Export
What export formats are available?
The app supports four export types:
- PDF Report -- fully formatted report from the Report Designer
- Photo Report -- image-focused documentation
- Final Report -- finalized deliverable version
- Excel Export -- spreadsheet of findings data
How does the Report Designer work?
The Report Designer is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor with:
- 13 element types -- text, heading, image, htmlTemplate, divider, table, tableOfContents, coverPage, findingsTable, executiveSummary, signatureBlock, imageTable, productInfoTable
- Drag-and-drop positioning
- Real-time preview of the final output
- Undo/redo support
Navigation and Settings
How is the app organized?
The app has 5 bottom navigation tabs:
- Home -- dashboard overview
- Findings -- browse and create findings
- Reports -- list of generated reports
- Lists -- checklists and product data
- Profile -- settings and account
Where are the settings?
Note
There is no dedicated Settings screen. All settings are accessed from the Profile tab.
The Profile tab menu includes (in order): Change Project, Edit Profile, Change Password, Two-Factor Authentication, Biometric Login, Notifications, Language (English/German), Reset Walkthroughs, Dark Mode toggle, Documentation, Log Out, Delete Account.
