- At least one finding created (see Your First HSE Inspection)
Step 1: Go to the Reports Tab

Understanding Template Types
Templates are organized into two categories:
- System Templates -- Pre-built templates provided by QuickInspect. These cover common report types.
- Company Templates -- Custom templates created by your organization's Key Users or Admins.
Templates also have specific types:
- Photo Report -- Focused on photographic documentation of findings.
- Progress Report -- Tracks progress over time.
- Inspection Report -- Standard inspection documentation.
- Final Report -- Comprehensive final deliverable.
- Browse the available templates and tap on one to select it.
Note
The templates available to you depend on your role and your company's configuration. System templates are available to all users.
Step 3: Customize in the Report Designer
After selecting a template, you are taken to the Report Designer -- a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor where you can customize your report.
Available Report Elements
The Report Designer supports 13 element types that you can add, remove, and rearrange:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Text | Free-form text paragraphs |
| Heading | Section headings |
| Image | Insert photos or images |
| HTML Template | Reusable HTML content blocks |
| Divider | Horizontal separator line |
| Table | Data tables |
| Table of Contents | Auto-generated table of contents |
| Cover Page | Title page for the report |
| Findings Table | Table of all findings from your project |
| Executive Summary | Overview section summarizing findings |

Working with the Designer

- Edit content -- Tap on any element to edit its content directly in the WYSIWYG editor.

Tip
HTML Templates are reusable content blocks. If your company has created HTML Templates, they will appear in the template selection and can be inserted into any report.
Step 4: Preview Your Report
- Once you are satisfied with your report layout, tap the Preview button.
- A PDF preview will be generated so you can see exactly how the report will look when exported.
- Review the preview for formatting, content accuracy, and completeness.
Step 5: Generate and Export the PDF
- After reviewing the preview, confirm to generate the final PDF.
- The generated report will appear in your Reports tab.
- From the report detail view, you can:
- View the PDF
- Export or share the report
