QuickInspect: First Steps
This guide takes you from installing QuickInspect to finding your way around the app. It takes about five minutes.
Get the App
QuickInspect runs on phones, tablets and in the browser:
- iOS: App Store
- Android: Google Play
- Web: app.quickinspect.me
Your data is the same everywhere, so you can capture on the phone on site and finish at a desk in the browser.
Create Your Account
How you get in depends on how your company set things up:
- You received an invitation email -- open the link in the email and sign up with the same email address the invitation was sent to. You are added to the company automatically. Invitations expire, so ask for a new one if the link no longer works.
- You scanned a company sign-up QR code -- the sign-up form opens with your company (and, if the code carries them, your project and department) already filled in.
- Your company uses single sign-on -- choose Company SSO on the login screen and enter your work email.
- You are starting on your own -- tap Create account and sign up with an email address and password, or continue with Apple (iOS and web), Google or Microsoft.
Passwords need at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.
The First Run
The first time you open the app, QuickInspect walks you through three short steps:
- Welcome screens -- three slides introduce the app. You can pick your language on the first slide, and tap Skip or Get started at any time.
- Set up your profile -- add your name and profile details.
- Select Project -- choose the project you will work in, or tap Create new Project. Everything you record (inspections, incidents, actions, risk assessments) belongs to the current project.
Tip
Each screen also has a short walkthrough the first time you open it. If you skipped one, you can bring them all back with Profile › Reset Walkthroughs.
Find Your Way Around
The bottom bar
The bottom bar starts with Home and ends with More and Profile. The three slots in between are yours to choose. By default they are:

To swap a slot for the module you use most -- Permits, Risk Assessments or Training, for example -- open Profile › Customize navigation. On a large screen (about 1000 px wide and up) the same entries appear in a sidebar on the left instead.
The home screen
- Project name at the top -- tap it to switch projects.
- Counters for incidents, actions, inspections and risk assessments.
- HSE Support -- the AI assistant for safety questions, with a route to a human expert.
- Module tiles -- Risk Assessments, Action Items, Incidents, Inspections, Assets, Hazardous Materials, Permits, Training, KPI Dashboard, Documents, Legal Register, OH&S Objectives and HSE Awards.
Tiles only appear for modules your company has switched on. A dimmed tile means your role cannot open that module.

Switch Projects
Tap the project name on the home screen, or go to Profile › Change Project. The Select Project sheet lets you search, filter by Active, Favorites or Finished, and create a new project.
Your Profile
The Profile tab holds your personal settings: Change Project, Edit Profile, Change Password, AI usage, Customize navigation, Two-Factor Authentication, Biometric Login (on supported devices), Notifications, Reset Walkthroughs, the language picker, dark/light mode, Log Out and Delete Account.
QuickInspect is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish and Romanian. Your company can add further languages.
Roles
What you can do depends on your role:

| Free (shown as Basic in enterprise companies) | Taking part: viewing hazardous materials and the KPI dashboard, using HSE Support, requesting permits and nominating HSE awards |
| Standard | Paid seat for the people doing the HSE work: inspections, risk assessments, actions, AI features and the photo gallery |
| KeyUser | Paid seat for the people running it: inviting users, company settings, building templates, issuing and authorising permits, approving hazardous materials |
Your company can adjust these defaults, so your own permissions may differ slightly. If you are part of a company, your plan is managed by the company -- you do not buy a seat yourself.
