Deck Plans
The Deck Plans feature lets you upload a vessel drawing, floor plan, or site map image and place color-coded markers directly on it. Each marker links to a specific finding, turning your plan into an interactive map of inspection issues.
Note
Deck Plans are primarily used in YachtInspect for vessel deck plans and structural drawings, but the feature works with any uploaded image in QuickInspect — floor plans, site maps, P&ID diagrams, or any other drawing.
Uploading a Drawing
Upload a deck plan image from the Findings tab by tapping the Marker or Deck Plans tab and selecting or uploading an image. Supported formats include JPEG and PNG. The image is stored against the current project and persists across sessions.
Placing Markers
To place a new marker on the drawing:
- Use a circle drag gesture on the drawing surface — press and drag in a circular motion to create a new marker at that location.
- A dialog prompts you to select which finding to link the marker to.
- The marker is placed at the drawn position and assigned the finding's status color.
Each marker displays a title label beneath it for quick identification without needing to tap every marker.
Marker Colors
Marker colors reflect the finding status using the same color scheme as the Findings Timeline:
| Color | Status |
|---|---|
| Red | Overdue |
| Green | Closed |
| Blue | In Progress |
| Orange | Open |
Legend Sidebar
A collapsible legend panel on the side of the drawing lists all placed markers with their color, title, and status. Use the legend to:
- See all marked findings at a glance
- Quickly identify which areas have open or overdue issues
- Navigate to a finding by tapping its legend entry
Cluster Handling
When multiple markers are placed close together, they appear as a cluster indicator. Long-press a cluster to open a cluster dialog showing the individual markers within the cluster. Tap any item in the dialog to navigate to that finding.
Navigating to Findings
Tap any marker on the drawing (or any entry in the legend sidebar) to navigate directly to the finding detail screen for that marker. This makes it easy to update a finding status or add comments while looking at the deck plan.
